DJ Kezza

 Dj Kezza has been playing tunes for over 6 years - originally based in Brixton, London she danced her socks off to the amazing DJ's playing squat parties in the mid 90's "rave" years it was here that her love for big style dancing and the amazing buzz that comes with were ignited...

At the same time she began going to see Mukka and other bands in London who were mixing balkan, klezmer, ska, dub and more. A spot was hit in her musical appreciation. A few years later she went to Bulgaria to one of their biggest folk festivals, then, in 1999 she saw Besh o Drom mixing traditional tunes with decks and loops at Glastonbury . A fusion began ... this mixed with hearing the brilliant Balkan Beats coming out of Berlin and Eastern Europe, gave the perfect excuse for DJ Kezza to indulge and submerge herself in a mash up of the rhythm driven world of balkan beat, brass, "traditional" balkan music, grooves, hip hop, electro, jungle,wedding music,folkstep ....whatever you want to call it, its some of the hottest, most danceable music around. DJ kezza plays it with a passion and respect for its makers thats hard to match!
